I'm Tim, a coach and sports massage therapist based in Barnstaple and Bristol. I specialise in helping people in their 40s, 50s and beyond live well, move better, reduce pain and feel more confident in their bodies.

Most people find me at a turning point: after an operation, approaching a big birthday, preparing for a fitness test, retirement, or realising that ongoing aches and stiffness don't have to be "just part of getting older."

 

​My approach is straightforward:

  • Understand what you want your body to do - at work, in sport, or in everyday life.

  • Clean up the basics: posture, movement patterns, strength and balance.

  • Use sports and soft-tissue massage to work on the underlying causes of pain, not just the symptoms.

  • Build a realistic plan that fits your life, with exercises you can do in the gym and at home.

 

I don't follow one template. Some clients want to lose weight and ease joint pain; others struggle to keep weight on and need to build lean muscle. Together we look at training, movement and simple changes to nutrition and your lifestyle that so your body can actually respond.

 

Clients often talk about resolving long-standing injuries, learning to run without pain, improving posture and balance, dropping or gaining weight in a healthy way and feeling a huge boost in confidence and wellbeing.
